Meet The Trainer


James Harrald Director of Safety at Border Construction Specialties / OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer


As the Director of Safety for Border Construction Specialties, James supports all our locations through product and vendor support, as well as safety trainings. He manages a team that covers everything from toolbox talks to specific in-depth training for the competent person. James is an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer for Construction and teaches safety subjects to thousands of workers on an annual basis. James joined the Border family in 2013 in his current role but had previously worked in the safety sales and training market in the Seattle area since 2007. James comes from a construction background, having worked in the concrete and gravel industry beginning in high school. He truly embraces what it means to be a safety professional and partners with our clients to grow their safety culture.
James and his wife Laura spend their time with there dogs and horses. They also run a charity called Sun Lakes Citrus Sharers, serving the residents of Sun Lakes and helping Saint Mary’s Food Bank. In what spare time is left James is a distance runner, often picking charity events like Pat’s Run and the Travis Manion Foundation.
